Brass Monkey Series Week 9 - aka The Emily Dengate Birthday Dash

Brass Monkey Series continues
After the weather gods conspiring against us for the past few weeks, conditions were much more favourable this weekend and we had 9 hardy sailors (and an equally hardy duty team) racing in the second round of the Brass Monkey series.

North East and Yorkshire Youth Sailing Association 2026 - UPDATED
North East and Yorkshire Youth Sailing Association (NEYYSA) have released its dates for events in 2026. The association organises a youth traveller series in the region and Pennine has a proud history of sailors supporting and competing in their events.

2025 Frostbite Series Winners
Congratulations to Emily Dengate for winning the 2025 Frostbite series, with Pete Hallitt a close second and Craig Rattigan showing what consistency and determination can do by coming a very well earned third.

Boxing Day Bash
Santa 1st with 2nd and 3rd elves. 10 boats out on the water for a chilly Boxing Day Bash. Great conditions and a nice long course which were perfect to work off some of the Christmas Day calories!

One for the diary....Boxing Day Bash
Calling all sailors with lots of layers (and hopefully some Christmas goodies to try out for the first time!). We will be running a Boxing Day race, starting at 11:00 for those who would like to get out on the water.

Topper Class Association Training
The International Topper Class Association (ITCA) GBR (aka the UK association) runs a series of training and coaching events nationally and regionally to support sailors of all abilities. Half way through the 2025 Frostbite series
We are now almost half way through the 2025 Frostbite series and we've been lucky enough to have some great conditions which means we have been able to race on 3 out of 4 weekends. Over those 3 weekends 18 different members have raced with the biggest turnout being a fantastic 12 boats in week 2. At the moment Emily and Pete are leading the way in the overall series with clear blue water between

2025 Christmas Random Pairs TR
For junior/Youth sailors - North East and Yorkshire Youth Sailing Association (NEYYSA) are running a random pairs team racing event in late December at Ripon SC.
