RYA PB2 Course
Combined RYA Level 1 and Level 2 Powerboat Handling Course.
Content: Boating safety, boat handling and basic theory plus close-quarters boat handling, planing-speed manoeuvres, man overboard recovery and collision regulations. At the end of the course you will have a basic understanding of powerboating combined with the ability to handle a powerboat in familiar conditions by day. You will also receive course syllabus & logbook, together with a powerboat licence which can be used as proof of competence when hiring powerboats at various establishments.
Course Format: The course will be delivered by our RYA accredited Power Boat Instructors and runs for two consecutive days 8th and 9th of August 2026, 08:30-16:30 each day.
Course requirements: minimum age of 12 years old. No previous experience is necessary. Please bring a packed lunch on each day, and a recent passport photo on the first day for your licence. Be prepared to get wet as the course will be held come rain or shine, and you will be helping launch and recover the boats as part of boat handling.
Course Costs: £220 for Non-Members, £125 for Members
