We're a team of volunteers who keep Pennine Sailing Club running smoothly, safely and welcoming for everyone. Our focus is simple: great club racing, clear training pathways and a friendly community on and off the water. We have a number of roles on the committee, all of which are listed below, and to contact our current committee members please logon to the members area and click on 'Contact' and then 'Committee'.
Honorary Life President - Josie Gentry
A member who has demonstrated a life long dedication to the club
Commodore - Dominic Barnes
Leads the club and chairs the committee, ensuring all activities align with our mission. Oversees strategic direction, governance and member engagement, and represents PSC at regional and national level.
Vice Commodore - Helen Dengate
Responsible for on-water sailing activities including the production of the sailing programme, results and the duty team and drives improvements to member experience.
Rear Commodore - Christine Smith & Michael Hunter
Responsible for off-water activities not covered by the bosun. Oversees the clubhouse and site, maintenance planning, compliance and improvements, working closely with the bosun to keep everything serviceable and safe.
Secretary - Ray Tredoux
Handles administration and official records, keeps policies tidy and ensures smooth communications.
Treasurer - Alan Waterworth
Manages budgets, reporting and financial planning so the club stays sustainable.
Membership Secretary - Phil Tenney
Manages all aspects membership administration.
Welfare Officer - Karen Robinson
Leads safeguarding and wellbeing, providing advice and a confidential contact point for concerns.
RTC Principal - Nick Oldrini
Heads the RYA Training Centre, ensuring safe, high-quality courses that help sailors progress into club racing.
Kids Captain - Andy Leeson
Runs Kids Club and youth activity, building confidence, skills and a friendly pathway into the fleet.
Bosun - Andrew Nixon
Maintains safety boats, club dinghies and race equipment so sessions and racing run reliably every week.
Systems Administrator - Phil Tenney
Manages all aspects of our IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring we make effective use of technology to benefit members and the club.
