Boat Hire
We have a number of different types of boat that are available for members to hire that are suitable for a range of ages and abilities . All boats can be booked, subject to availability, for either a full or half day on a weekend or on a mid week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) evening via our website. If you are not sure which boat is right for you, talk to one of our friendly instructors who will be happy to advise you.

The Optimist, sometime called an 'Opti' or 'Oppy' is a very small, single-handed boat designed specifically for young people under the age of 16 to learn to sail. It is characterized by its bathtub-like shape, flat bottom, and a single, four-sided sail, making it very stable and hard to capsize compared to other boats. As the world's most popular youth racing class, it is built to strict standards to ensure a level playing field, with over 150,000 in use across 120 countries.

- RS Tera
