PSC COVID-19 Statement – 22/03/2020
Pennine Sailing Club continues to follow the advice offered by the UK Government.
Pennine Sailing Club has decided to fully join the country to encourage people to, where ever possible, stay at home and fight against the Coronavirus.
With immediate effect we have now sadly agreed to lock down the club.
There is now no access to the clubhouse. All activities including sailing, racing, social and training shall be postponed until further notice.
CCTV and on-site checks are being used to monitor the club’s security.
Please act responsibly and follow government advice.
Many thanks for your continued support and understanding. Please do look after yourselves, keep safe and we can start to enjoy the facilities again when this situation has ended.
Steve Walker Commodore.
PSC status of club activities
The table below shows the current status of activities at the club as either green to indicate ‘Open’ or red to indicate ‘Closed’.
The status for each of these activities is constantly being reviewed using information from the government, the RYA, Yorkshire water and PSC’s own risk assessments. Review this table regularly to find out if the activity you want to do has been re-opened.
Visit the PSC COVID-19 page to see PSC’s risk assessments and also the rules that need to be followed for each activity when it is re-opened.
Pennine Sailing Club
Situated on Winscar Reservoir in the hills above Holmfirth, in the Peak District National Park, we have a growing membership of 200 sailors & windsurfers from the surrounding areas of Sheffield, Huddersfield, Barnsley & Glossop.
This excellent facility is open to all and is a great place to spend your free time. So why not come along and talk to us about membership and sailing courses. You can also have a look at some of the many boats that we sail at the club.
