PSC COVID-19 Statement – 30/05/2020
Pennine Sailing Club continues to follow the advice offered by the UK Government.
We are pleased to announce a gradual re-opening of the club activities.
Please read the activity status for further information.
Rules are now in place following risk assessments, which must now be followed by all members who are on site.
A reminder that a rescue boat must be on the water at all times if you wish to sail.
Access to the clubhouse remains restricted.
CCTV and on-site checks are being used to monitor the club’s security.
Please act responsibly and follow government advice.
Many thanks for your continued support and understanding.
Steve Walker Commodore.
PSC status of club activities
The table below shows the current status of activities at the club as either green to indicate ‘Open’ or red to indicate ‘Closed’.
The status for each of these activities is constantly being reviewed using information from the government, the RYA, Yorkshire water and PSC’s own risk assessments. Review this table regularly to find out if the activity you want to do has been re-opened.
Visit the PSC COVID-19 page to see PSC’s risk assessments and also the rules that need to be followed for each activity when it is re-opened.
Pennine Sailing Club
Situated on Winscar Reservoir in the hills above Holmfirth, in the Peak District National Park, we have a growing membership of 200 sailors & windsurfers from the surrounding areas of Sheffield, Huddersfield, Barnsley & Glossop.
This excellent facility is open to all and is a great place to spend your free time. So why not come along and talk to us about membership and sailing courses. You can also have a look at some of the many boats that we sail at the club.
