Classes

We race a wide variety of different classes and are always welcoming of members who want to bring a new class of boat to the club.

The biggest fleet we have is the ILCA, with members enjoying the flexibility of the 3 different rig sizes available enabling them to sail in pretty much any conditions; we also have a dedicated fleet captain who works closely with the ILCA Northern region.  The other main classes we have are the Streaker and Topper.  Alongside these we race an eclectic mix of other boats that reflect the variety of different performance appetites and skill levels of our members including the Javelin, Phantom, RS Aero, RS 400, RS 200 and keel boats such as the K1 and 2.4mR.

We also have a number of classes of club boats that members can hire to get experience of racing : Optimist, Topper, Pico, RS Feva, ILCA, 2000 

Open Meetings

Pennine SC is a great venue for open meetings with a great expanse of water, a brilliant club house with fantastic views for the spectators and experienced teams to run the racing and provide safety cover.  Over the years the club has hosted events, both regional and national, for a wide variety of fleets including Scorpions, Streakers, Toppers and ILCAs.
