Membership
We offer a range of memberships, which we've set out below, so you can choose the one that fits how you want to enjoy the club. Joining is easy, just click on the 'join' link in the top right hand corner of our website and follow the instructions....we look forward to welcoming you to the club soon!
Full Adult Membership
If you are an adult who plans to sail, this is the membership for you. It also gives great value for families because your children can be added at no extra cost as long as you register them as part of your membership. For those aged 65 and over who sail, Full Veteran membership offers the same access at a reduced rate. We also offer a Full Adult Winter membership for the hardy souls who only want to sail between November and March.
Sailing Family/Social Family Membership
For couples who both sail, this is the simplest and best value option. As with Full Adult membership, children are included for free when registered as part of your membership. If you are a parent with sailing children but you prefer the warmth of the clubhouse to getting blown about on the water, Social Family membership may suit you better. This covers one parent as a Social member and one child. Any additional children can be added as Cadet or Student members.
Cadet/Student Membership
For an additional child of a Social Member or for a youth aged 18 or in full-time education (maximum age 25)
Social Membership
If you want to be part of the club community but have no intention of sailing, Social membership is ideal. You can enjoy the clubhouse, social events, and the atmosphere without needing to get on the water.
Club and Group membership
We also welcome organisations such as university sailing teams, Sea Cadets, and other groups who would like to use our facilities. These memberships are agreed on a case by case basis to make sure the arrangements work well for everyone.

An important note about duties
Please note that all sailing members are required to complete the annual duty commitment as a condition of membership. This applies to every member except Social members and those under 16. The requirement is four duties during the sailing season, (from the start of the Spring series through to the end of the Autumn series) which typically comprises three Sundays and one Thursday each year in the role of Race Officer, Race Officer assistant, safety boat driver or safety boat assistant. During the off season (Frostbite and Brass Monkey series) those who sail in the series are expected to contribute by doing duties during those series.
Without members doing their bit, we cannot run racing or provide safe sailing.
