Club awarded RYA Pathway Status

We are proud and excited to announce that Pennine Sailing Club has been granted RYA Pathway Club status.  This is a fantastic testament to the hard work and dedication by many volunteer members both past and present all developing our junior and youth racing at the club.

The RYA is on a mission to make junior and youth racing more affordable, accessible and engaging and to improve the performance of aspiring young British talent.  Part of this is the RYA Pathway Club programme, an initiative designed to identify and support high quality local clubs that demonstrate a proven track record of supporting this objective. It aims to foster a 'Racing for Life' philosophy by developing young sailors' skills through structured training and racing, often replacing the need to travel to regional squads.

Clubs awarded this status receive additional RYA support including :

• Expert Mentoring - assigned RYA Racing Tutors to help develop the club's pathway
• Coach Development and Resources
• Advanced Support - access to webinars and specialist workshops for sailors and parents on topics like nutrition, fitness and racing tactics
• Talent Identification - a clear framework for sailors to progress towards regional Talent Academies and national teams
