Pennine Sailing Club is super excited to be hosting a round of the North East & Yorkshire Youth Sailing Association (NEYYSA) Junior and Youth Traveller Series on Saturday 27th June.
There is racing for all level of sailors aged U19 on 1 September 2026. The series is inclusive, supportive and welcoming but is also very competitive; a group from Pennine SC recently made the trip to Filey as part of this series and had a fantastic time.
In additional to being part of the NEYYSA series, the event is also a qualifying event for clubs in Yorkshire and North East earn a place at the 2026 RYA Junior Club Championships in September.
Below is some important information ahead of the event:
Entry
Entry needs to be done though the NEYYSA website. Entry will normally close on the Thursday before the event. www.neyysa.org/travellerseries
The NEYYSA website has all the details on the series and will also post the sailing instructions in the coming weeks. The sailing instructions explain to the sailors how the racing will be run and most importantly, the timings of things such as first race or briefing.
Club Boats
If you are planning of entering using a club boat, PLEASE REACH OUT TO COLIN DENGATE FIRST.
Colin is managing the fleet so we don't overbook on specific sail sizes for boat like the Toppers, Tera or ILCA's. Once Colin has confirmed the requested sail size is available, boats can be booked through the PSC website in the normal manner. We have A LOT visitors enquiring about boat hire, so please don't delay in sorting out your booking.
