Early Summer Evening Series - Overall Results

As we approach the end of June and the weather really starts to warm up, the Early Summer evening series, the first of our Thursday evening series, has drawn to a conclusion.  Over the past 12 weeks it has been brilliant to see 28 competitors across the range of ages and abilities competing in 10 races that count towards the series, as well as a number of secondary races 'for fun' on those evenings when the time and conditions have allowed.  

Alongside the racing at the front the fleet there have been other aspects on the series that have been brilliant to see.  Some of our younger members such as Fred, Dexter and both Olivia's have been out on the water gaining valuable experience and achieving some great results.  We've also had a students from the University of Sheffield who have raced in both their Firefly's and club ILCAs.  There have also been some stunning sunsets to remind us how lucky we are to sail at Winscar.

The overall series was won by Emily, with Dave (S) in second with a fantastic effort by Olivia (P) to come third - congratulations to all!

We would also like to say a very big 'THANK YOU' to all our members who volunteered to do a sailing duty over the course of the series because without them none of this would have been possible.
