2026 Brass Monkey Series Winners

The 2026 Brass Monkey series finished this weekend in positively spring like conditions with 5 boats turning out for the final day's racing of the series in light airs. It has been another fantastic series with 22 different boats turning out over the 8 out of 12 Sundays when the conditions suitable and the sailors were brave enough to head out on to the water to compete in a total of 22 races.

Pete Hallitt showed awesome consistency, winning the overall series with an almost complete set of bullets (first place finishes) once discards were taken into accountwith just one second place.  It was great to see two of our youth sailors battling it out for second and third place overall with Emily eventually coming out on top. Well done to every member who took part and contributed to a great first series of the year.

Next up is the Sunday Spring series with the racing day extended to 3 races in the morning and 2 in the afternoon, with the Early Summer Thursday Evening series also starting in the coming weeks.  We look forward to seeing even more members out on the water racing as the weather (hopefully!) improves.
